Dr. Shamni Shajudeen is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 16 years of comprehensive clinical experience serving as Senior Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Starcare Hospital, Calicut.
She completed her MBBS from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, followed by an MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, and a DNB from the National Board. She has international qualifications, including MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (UK) and MRCPI from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Dublin. She also holds certified training in laparoscopic surgery, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development.
During her tenure at Starcare Hospital, she has been a lead specialist, managing high-risk pregnancies, complex infertility cases, and performing advanced laparoscopic and urogynecological procedures. Her professional interests include high-risk pregnancy management, infertility and assisted reproductive technologies, minimally invasive surgery, PCOS, and urogynecological procedures. She has presented numerous case reports and research papers at national forums such as FOGSI and YUVA FOGSI, underscoring her active engagement with the broader medical community.
She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (UK), the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI). Dr. Shamni Shajudeen is committed to delivering the highest standards of care, advancing women’s health, and fostering the next generation of clinicians.
